Shuler shown (4th from left in back row) with the two sons, Michael and Stephen (children in front left and right end) ?came to meet and thank some of the members of the Letters from Home Program for their ongoing support ?of the troops. (Aug 11, 2006) ??? Eric was deployed by the New Jersey National? Guard in May 2004. He spent six months in training before starting his position as Contracting Officer in Mosul, Iraq? in October 2004 . His job was to purchase critical needed supplies for the US Army. Eric was part of Headquarters DISCOM of the 42nd Infantry Division. ??? Major Shuler returned from Iraq in October 2005 to his job as a communication technician with Verizon in New Jersey.? He is married to Beth Shuler and has two sons, Michael, 11 and Stephen 9. The Shulers live in Oradell, New Jersey. Eric is the grand nephew of WWII veteran Clyde Shuler of Wilcox, PA.? ??? I am not in the photo since I took it.? I am semi retired. I lived in St. Marys and Johnsonburg as a child. My parents, Mary and John Shuler were both born in Elk County.? ??? NEW YORK, June 9, 2006 – Today thousands of employees from Deloitte & Touche USA LLP kicked off IMPACT Day, the organization’s national day of volunteer service, by heading out into their communities to help local non-profits address important social issues.? 4/06 Shown is Bill Pistner of The St Marys Box Company as volunteers from the Letters from Home Program present him with a certificate of appreciation for the boxes his company specially made for the Letters from Home Program. The boxes have the ?Letters from Home Program's name and address on them for the ?troops mailings. The troops will easily identify the integrity of the package now when they get a Letter from Home Package.? The St. Marys Box Company and ?Letters from Home Program are pleased to form this coalition of support for the men/women serving our country proudly. ? 11/10/05 Johnsonburg Student Council under the leadership of Mrs. Jennifer Defilippi and the girls of the Junior/Senior Powder Puff Football Game helped raise funds for our troops with a donation from their game to help our Christmas campaign for 4,200 soldiers this year. ?Along with JAHS students of Mrs. Jill Casilio Health Class they have decorated many, many envelopes and bags for our campaigns.? Thank you Johnsonburg students and facility. 11/10/05 Treats for the troops and many cards arrived just in time for the Christmas 2005 campaign from Weyerhaeuser Industries. ??? Since the start of the Letters from Home Program, Weyerhaeuser has
donated all the envelopes that have been used for the soldiers that have
received packages.

At this time, Weyerhaeuser Johnsonburg Mill, along with the Kansas City
Bag Plant, donated over 8,000 of their brown paper bags for the new
"Salute to you from the Red White and Blue" campaign.??Shown here are
some of the Administrative Assistants that are collecting socks, tootsie
rolls and freezer pops, and selling candy bars as a fund raiser. They
also have the employees and families writing letters and postcards,
coloring "Flat Stanley's, and decorating the bags.??Those in the photo

Thank you for the great donation of items and money for shipping the packages for the men and women who protect our freedom each and every day. *************************************************************************************** The Girl Scout Day Camp being held at Camp A-Da-Hi in St Marys, PA, organized by Ruthie Cooney, is helping the Letters from Home Program by doing "Flat Stacey" letters and decorating paper bags that will be used for the next campaign.? The bags were made by the Weyerhaeuser-Kansas City Bag Plant and donated by Weyerhaeuser-Johnsonburg Paper Mill. August 4, 2005 Northwest Saving Bank Johnsonburg Location show their support of the troops with temperature reaching over 135 degrees...Help us with "Kool Pops" to cool off our troops during this heatwave.
??????????? Northwest Savings Bank downtown Johnsonburg Office shown with their cooler and thermometer, know what is is like to be overseas with? temperatures exceeding 135 degrees.? They have decided to take on the third challenge of the Letters from Home Program and are challenging people to stop in and drop off Freezer pops for the troops.? You have until 8/15/05 at 5pm to stop at their location and drop off some Kool Pops for the troops...The bank will be matching box for box so hurry and bring in your donation.? Letters from Home program is working closely with Northwest Saving Bank in downtown St Marys for tootsie rolls and are well over 50 pounds being dropped off which will be matched by the bank.? And if you go to the St Marys Plaza office they are helping out the program by being the site to drop off white socks for the troops.. With everyone's help, the program can send a treat of the above items to our men and women serving our country overseas.

The program also wants to remind everyone that the cards of support, postcards and flat stanley projects are all needing in by 8/18/05.? To date this campaign has a goal of 10,000 cards and currently are well over the ?5,000 mark. Help them achieve the goal by collecting one or all of the above items.

Northwest Savings Bank Shows the Troops they are behind them 100 %. The socks are rolling in for the collection due to 100 % participation from the plaza employees.? Help them fill the large laundry basket in the lobby full of socks for the troops.
