December 18,2004 Jingle All the Way from the Hearts of USA campaign has collected 20,000 cards and are being distributed to 1850 soldiers all over the world. Thank you one and all for the beautiful letters, cards and donations for our soldiers. Go here for more info on this campaign. ? We must share this letter with you.?
Dear Letters from Home Program: Back in November I sent in my son's name to your program. Well I have to tell you that he called me today and while he was talking to me he was opening up the package just like he did when he was a little boy of 4 or 5, when he opened up his Christmas presents at home.?
He was so excited and just could not read all the letters fast?enough. Before going overseas to Iraq, he really had never been anywhere, and? just to know how much total strangers appreciate what he is doing meant so much to him.? He said "Mom, please let them know how much the package means to me and? how much I appreciate everything".? ? ? Thank you for everything that you and your volunteers are doing for my son and all the rest of the solders. You will have a special spot in my heart forever. Rhonda ? The Letters From Home Program would like to thank everyone for their support of our Christmas campaign! NOTE: For those of you who have wrote or called with questions, this is how our program works... You write the letters and/or cards and include a mailing address for the soldier to know where the card comes from. You mail the cards and letters to us here in Pennsylvania. We put about 10 cards in each soldier's package, and ?once the package is received they can write back to you.? With the privacy laws, we are forbidden to give out any addresses that have been given to our program.? But once you? get a response from the soldier, you can adopt that soldier and look out for? him or her. It works beautifully, but you have to send the cards to us to? get them to the Troops. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? To Letters From Home Thanks A Million! From the 630th Transportation Unit ? ? Letters From Home T-Shirts are in, get yours today!! ? Go here to see our patriotic magnetic car ribbons that were featured on? ? ? The Letters From Home Program, in affiliation with The Bucktail Chapter 720 of The Vietnam Veterans and American Legion Post 511 in Dagus Mines, PA, have launched an effort to let our soldiers know that they are not forgotten, but are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. We ask good, caring citizens from all walks of life to make and collect letters, cards, photos and happy reminders of home for our troops and then hold a large letter stuffing event.? Sometimes the mailings also include calling cards.? Most of our mailings go to soldiers who are deployed overseas and to the wounded in various hospitals. Take a look around our site for more information. With each new holiday campaign the number of soldier's addresses continues to grow, as do the donated items and the support needed to make this program a success. We thank you for stopping by our home on the Web and hope you will find all the information you need to help us in this endeavor.? God bless you and thank you for your help. ? If you would like to sign a soldier up to receive our mailings please e-mail? ? For more information on making donations please see our donations page. ? This web site is available for all our readers due to the generosity of North Central Internet and Jim Swanson.
